Should I get the vaccine right away or wait?
If you have the ability to get the vaccine sooner than later, I would recommend it.
Moderna and Pfizer’s efficacy is very good at ~95%. It seems that both 2-dose vaccinations show some protection to the other variants. I think it is beneficial to obtain partial immunity against Covid even if these 2-dose vaccines only provide some protection against newer variants. We are still learning about these variants and if the vaccine actually shows its effect towards them. UPDATE** Pfizer has been approved for kids between the ages of 12-16.
How long does a vaccine last? Does one brand last longer than the others?
At this time, we do not know how long it lasts. Many of us in the medical community are anticipating that it will be an annual vaccine like the flu vaccine. However, if you stop the spread, the virus doesn’t have a way to replicate and survive. Unfortunately only the amount of public use of the vaccine will give us a clue if this is possible as time goes on.
The Johnson and Johnson vaccine, although not as effective as moderna and Pfizer, has the ability to prevent severe illness in up to 84% of the population. This is promising and ultimately what we would like for the future as it’s a one time vaccine instead of 2 shots. *UPDATE 4/15 At this time, the US has paused the use of JnJ vaccine due to chances of clotting (6 cases in 6.8 million doses given). For anyone who has JnJ and is scared, the likelihood of getting a blood clot from daily birth control is higher. **UPDATE 4/26 J&J Vaccine has resumed.
Can an N95 mask be reused? ( if given a break between uses?)
As far as N95 masks, certainly! If one plans on using the mask all day long, we suggest designating a mask for each day of the week. Rotating through different masks is helpful in longevity. If you are using a mask for shorter periods of time, this can extend its life expectancy as well. Early on in the pandemic healthcare providers unfortunately were stuck with only one mask for weeks at a time.
What are the questions you get most asked from people or friends?
The biggest question is when are we getting back to normal. It is pretty uncertain as I think even 2021 will be somewhat of a continuation. As the vaccine is given to more and more people, again, we’ll start to have a better idea.
Other questions include what helps treat and prevent Covid. There is a monoclonial antibody IV therapy called bamlanivimab and etesevimab that have shown to significantly improve symptoms within 10 days of onset of Covid. Supplements like Vitamin D, Zinc, or Vitamin C have not shown significant findings that would suggest in the prevention of or a decrease in severity of Covid. We do know that masks and socially distancing DO work.
Generally people that are infected with covid are usually treated at home with over the counter medications unless having severe symptoms like difficulty breathing.
And finally the last question is, how long is someone contagious for? As per the CDC, you are no longer contagious on the 11th day (10 days +1) from the START of symptoms.

Make March Matter is an annual campaign that unites businesses and the community in support of children’s health and Children’s Hospital LA. Shop, dine or participate in an event with a participating partner and funds will be donated to help ensure the hospital can provide sick and critically injured children with the best quality care.
We here at HMNIM are proud to be participants of this annual campaign, as long-standing supporters of Children's Hospital Los Angeles. There are many many good causes out there, but this one is close to our heart. We pledged 50% of the proceeds of any sales on March 15th to this great cause. And you customers did not let us down. We had hundreds of orders poor in over the day, raising thousands of dollars for the Make March Matter cause.

]]>Many of you doubted that Mark took the time to hand screen 100 tees. And you probably doubted that he came up with the design, and burned the screens himself. But what you are forgetting is that Mark is a man of many talents and passions, and one of those passions is photo emulsion.
Here we see Mark "burning" the screen with a lamp. A delicate and precise step in the screen printing process. Once this step is completed, the screen is throughly cleaned.
And now we jump to the printing step, putting the printing in screen printing.
Running a hot iron over the design to baking it into the fibers and ensuring that it's not going to wash off. Remember, Mark had to do this 100 times, for each tee.
Once the ink has been set, all that needs to happen is waiting for them to dry. Not easy finding places to lay 100 tees around to dry. In the end it was all for a great cause, raising money for CHLA.

You can file this one under not all Heroes wear capes. Meet this week's Hi My Name Is...AJ. Who works with Chemical Toilets aka the"Porta Potty". We've all been in one at some point, at a concert or festival. They can be gross, but next to the music, it's the #2 most important thing.
There must be some urban legend about falling in or having a hose brake and getting sprayed. There's got to be some gross stories, if not you? Maybe someone you've worked with?
-In this area of work you are bound to get a "shit bath". I've been told a story of someone who used to work in the yard sometime before I ever started. For background, when a truck comes back, we need to empty it. Usually into a larger truck(we call it the yard truck), then that truck is emptied at the end of the night.
We saw a bunch of posts about not wanting to open your FUNKO Pop! Mark Hoppus doll. Excuse us, figurine, not doll. Well maybe we can help. For those of you computerly inclined, we have posted a GIF of the Funko Mark with a transparent background. Now you no longer have an excuse, pull the image and start slapping Mark into all types of exciting situations.

]]>WHY ARE THEY LIMITED TO 2 PER CUSTOMER?
We've heard the complaints about flippers, but we also hear the stories about wanting one to display and one to wear, or the stories from our international friends, wanting to get one for themselves and one for a friend to save on shipping.
WILL YOU REISSUE PINKY?
Probably not, we had no idea when we launched this pin that it would be so sought after. Wouldn't be fair to the collectors to just print more to just sell more.
ARE THERE GOING TO BE MORE RELEASES?
As long as Mark keeps making new bass guitars we'll try and keep up.
I WISH YOU WOULD MAKE...
Now this is a tough one, we've covered almost all of the important ones, now looking back at all the guitars he's had over the years there's plenty we could do, but just because we can doesn't mean we should.

You can all tell Sydney congratulations for her Mark-topus Pumpkin. Which you have to admit came out pretty awesome.
At the above stage it's hard to picture how it was going to look when lit up.
But as you can see, Sydney nailed it.
For her efforts she has won one of Mark's most prized possessions from the 2016 blink182 tour. This cardboard cut out of Ralph Wiggum was on stage for everyone of those shows, quietly watching and judging Mark. And now it watches over you Sydney. Congratulations.
]]>For those of you not well-versed in all things donut, a bismark or also known as a Berliner Pfannkuchen (Berliner for short) is a traditional German pastry similar to a donut with no central hole, made from sweet yeast dough fried in oil, with a marmalade or jam filling and usually icing, powdered sugar or conventional sugar on top. They are sometimes made with chocolate, champagne, custard, mocha filling, or with no filling at all. Our exclusive HI My Name Is Bismark would be made with Vanilla or Carmel glaze and a light vanilla custard filling.

]]>We met Allie the first week of blink-182 recording at John Feldmann's Foxy Studios. We hit it off immediately, talking about music and photography, and even running a clothing brand (she has her own line called AnxietyCo.Org ). Most of the great photos you've seen from the blink recording are to be credited to Allie. She's not only a great photographer, but a super cool person to have around. When blink was done, we didn't lose touch, knowing that we wanted to interview her for the site. She's a very interesting and charming person and we hope that comes through in this mini, Hi My Name Is segment.
HMNI: Where did you grow up?
Allie: I grew up in a small town in Los Angeles county called Torrance. It’s just south of the city. I currently reside in The San Fernando Valley. It’s nice, but very hot. One day, I hope to move back to the South Bay area.
HMNI: How did you get into music?
Allie: Music has always been very important in my life. My dad was a radio/club DJ while my mother was always taking my sister, Cassie and I to karaoke bars when we were little so she could sing country music. I remember she'd take us to Dimples in Burbank regularly. My dad brought us up on artists like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Seal, and Journey. While my mom introduced us to country artists like Tanya Tucker, Reba McEntire, and Naomi Judd. As I got older, I started listening to pop radio and artists like Britney Spears and *NSync. It wasn’t until my sister brought home blink-182’s "Enema of the State” when I really started getting into guitars and drums. I thought, wow, my sister actually likes something cool! AND they say bad words (my mom told us bad words were only ok to say if they were in sung in a song. It was just part of the music). From there, my taste in rock and pop rock only grew. In middle school, I was listening to bands like Linkin Park and The White Stripes. That faded into Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, The Used, and My Chemical Romance. That’s when I first was first introduced to the name John Feldmann.
My best friend and I would go see all of these bands, multiple times. We were those dedicated kids waiting outside the venue in sleeping bags at 3am so we’d be first in line and at the barricade when the show started. We’d wait outside for hours after the show just to say hi or get a photo with the band or artist. I always knew I wanted to be a part the live music scene in some way, I never knew how to get there but, I knew I loved every minute of it. I started listening to The Veronicas at the end of high school. These were my girls. I’d chat with them on their forum and myspace. They started asking me to hang out after shows. I slowly went from fan to friend. They also worked with John Feldmann. At the time, one of their boyfriend’s bands was recording in LA from Australia. One day, they needed help getting gear from the studio back to where they were staying and I had a truck. I, of course said yes, and began to roadie and sell merch for them on tour.
My love for being in that environment remained. I longed for it. I lived for it. But again, I had no idea how to get back there. My mom, my hero, approached me one day asking if I knew who John Feldmann was. Dumbfounded, and confused I said “Duh. He’s basically responsible for The Used. Why?!” Note: The Used must be my favorite band since 2004. She said that he’d been one of her clients for the last year (she's an accountant.) I knew this was it. This was my chance. The next day John Feldmann was calling me asking me to come by his studio. And here I am!
HMNI: Who would you like to see record at Foxy Studios?
Allie: I would really love to see Green Day record here at Foxy studios. I know they could make something truly magical together. I also wouldn’t mind working with Demi Lovato, I may or may not have a slight crush on her.
HMNI: What are 3 things you wished people knew about you?
Allie:
1) I love my dog, Conan more than I love.. pretty much anything.
2) I can’t cross my eyes.
These are the tour "Essentials" from Mark Hoppus. Bring only what you need and what you think you'll use. After years of touring and traveling, if anyone knows exactly what to bring, is Mark.
